When a shelter dog finds a new home through adoption, it’s a heartwarming moment. They’re given a fresh start and the opportunity to receive the love and care they’ve always deserved, having been rescued from the harsh realities of life on the streets or in cramped cages.

Regrettably, some species have not been fortunate enough to receive consistent care throughout their history. One such instance occurred in 2014 with the emergence of Finn’s public presence. He was rescued from the streets and taken to a shelter located in Dallas, United States.

After receiving rehabilitation, he was ready to find a loving family. Being an adorable puppy made it easy for him to capture the hearts of many applicants. Although several families were interested in adopting Finn, only one was able to take him home. Upon completing all the necessary requirements at the shelter, Finn went to his new home with the hope of living happily ever after. Unfortunately, things did not go as planned, and Finn was returned to the shelter in 2019, five years after being adopted, for unknown reasons.

Finn suddenly found himself without a home again, but thankfully, some kind people who rescued him brought him to a shelter and went out of their way to find him a new, modest home. It seemed like everything was going well, and Finn had another chance at happiness. Unfortunately, he still suffered and felt abandoned.
Now, for the third time, things have gotten even worse for Finn. He was discovered in a tiny box, left in a park with all his belongings after being taken care of by his family for years. CAMO Rescue has made Finn’s story public to raise awareness and hopefully find him a new forever home. It’s heartbreaking to think that such a loyal companion could be treated with such cruelty.

In 2021, poor Finn was abandoned with all of his belongings at a park and ended up at the Denton Animal Shelter. In a Facebook post on April 4th, the shelter reminded everyone that “microchips don’t lie” and that Finn’s former family couldn’t hide from their actions. Sadly, Finn’s experiences have left him scared and wary of humans, and it’s unclear what led to his abandonment. But regardless of the reasons, it’s clear that Finn deserves a loving home where he can feel safe and secure.
