LIONEL MESSI wore a protective boot as he enjoyed his summer holiday with wife Antonela Roccuzzo… and pal Luis Suarez.

Messi and Antonela made the most of the Miami shoreline as they enjoyed a boat ride after the Copa America.

But as they chilled on a boat, Messi was still in his protective footwear, courtesy of the injury he suffered at the Copa America.

Luckily it did not seem to stop the fun.

The Messis were joined by old Barcelona, and current Inter Miami team-mate, Luis Suarez and his wife Sofi Balbi.

Antonela and Sofi had both been at the Copa America in the US to support their husbands in potentially their final international tournament, albeit on rival sides.

Suarez’s journey ended at the semi-finals when Uruguay lost to Colombia 1-0 – with Liverpool’s Darwin Nunez hitting the headlines for fighting with Colombia fans in the crowd to protect Uruguay stars’ families after full time.

Messi addedaother trophy to his glittering collection as Argentina then beat Colombia 1-0 in the final.

But it was not straightforward for Messi, who was forced off with a nasty looking ankle injury.

The Argentina captain was seen in tears on the bench as he feared missing his chance of winning another Copa America.

But luckily for Messi, his team-mates pulled through in his absence.

The couples were also joined by Suarez’s sister-in-law and her husband.

Fans were full of praise for Antonela’s look as she wore a pink bikini.
